The design of your wedding cake...

Heidi works with you to develop a design that is unique and right for you. She will produce various ideas in the form of sugar samples for your approval. If your design is especially challenging she will make a prototype of the whole cake so that you are faced with no surprises on the day. Your choices are infinite.

To stimulate your thinking, you might like to look at the Featured Cakes and then browse through some of the hundreds of other designs on this website. Note that you can click on any of the pictures on the site, and a larger version will appear in a popup window. The designs have been divided into sections, as follows.

Classic Originals. The majority of cakes are in this section, which takes its inspiration from the traditional tiered wedding cake.

Suitcase Cakes. Cakes appearing as a stack of suitcases, the top one forming a sugar keepsake.

Chocolate Cakes. An increasingly popular alternative to traditional fruit or sponge mixtures.

Individual Cakes. An individual (fairy) cake for each of your guests.

Special Interest Cakes. Did a shared interest bring you together? It could become the theme for your cake.

Water Feature Cakes. Fountains or streams of flowing water (or even champagne).

Please remember, these provide examples to inspire you, not a catalogue to choose from. One thing guaranteed is that your cake will not be an exact copy of any of these.

The taste of your wedding cake...

Your cake will taste as good as it looks. It will be hand-baked especially for you, using the finest of fresh ingredients. Home baking allows flexibility: for example, having different flavoured tiers. You will know exactly what you are getting, right down to the depth of each cake and the number of portions it will provide.

Styling your cake...

Styling your cake is about creating a setting for your finished and decorated cake. Cake stands available for hire from Heidi are expertly hand-crafted and not available anywhere else. Stands come in all shapes and sizes and any matching colour, and can be transparent, illuminated, tilting and rotating. The price of this optional service includes the hire of matching drapes, table cloths and designer pillars.

Delivery and set up of your cake...

The best time for delivery and set up of your cake is probably shortly before you arrive at the reception. Many brides like to collect their cake from Heidi the day before, but she can also arrange to deliver it to you and help set it up. Heidi is centrally located in Rugby, Warwickshire, so that collection or delivery are practicable over a large area, including London.
